Cohesu is fortunate to have the support of the Kisumu Youngsters Hockey Team, a group of young people who have come together to provide an out-of-school program that engages their time in a useful manner.
As volunteers for Cohesu, they have played a central role in the initiation of hockey in participating schools to fight the stigma of tungiasis. They also regularly participate in our shoe-packing activities for children, treatment of jiggers, and cleaning and lobbying for the Joyland Special School library. We are grateful for their commitment to helping us in our mission to improve the health and well-being of communities affected by tungiasis.
